This last week started the official longest year for a co-worker of mine, several co-workers actually. My office is a bit segregated from the majority of our organization and I wasn't able to get to know most of those that are now across the pond, but this particular co-worker was one of the first to greet me. She opened her home to me, showed me around town, gave me a toaster oven for my no oven living quarters (SAVE!). She is just basically a big ol' sweetheart! And her boys.....well they are both ornery, sweet, and a riot rolled up into cute lil packages!
I cannot wait until she gets home and can hug her boys, until they are all home to their families. We've also started planning how we are going to turn these beautiful photos into art for her walls :)
Here are a few of the MANY favorites!

April and May was a very busy Oplove month. Fort Riley was saying good-bye to another unit, another group of Soldiers. As families were gearing up for role shifts and farewells several of them entrusted me with capturing important memories for them.
One of those families were the Olson's. We had planned a super fun shoot to fit their personality as a family-but our window of everybody being in town and available shifted and shortened at the last minute. I was determined to get them a shoot before "Dad" left, luckily "Mom" was just as determined and we met at 0700 on Memorial day. These guys were troopers and I could easily see they are a fun and close family. They were also my last Oplove session before I headed out to my new (year-long temporary) location at Fort Stewart, GA. I am sad to not be there to shoot their homecoming, but I totally can't wait to bring our fun (and currently secret) shoot to life when I get back as well!
Here are a few of "Mom's" Favorites :)
P.S. I refer to everybody as Mom and Dad during the session-much easier that way for everybody lol I tend to carry it over to my blogs too just out of habit.

I TOLD YOU THEY WERE FUN! The girls asked for this shot

I am officially here at Fort Stewart! I am still working on getting settled in, but am anxiously waiting for my last group of Oplove albums to reach my clients so I can post their blogs! I will be shooting my first session in the coming week and some of my gorgeous roomie too. I haven't shot in weeks, and still have tons of editing to do to catch up.....but I need to shoot! Going to find me a pretty garden to play with my macro and get us some pics for our kitchen and common area this weekend.
As soon as I get caught up in my editing I will start posting for limited sessions and offering some sweet introduction specials :)
New image filled blogs coming as soon as possible!
Mandy!
I can't believe how quickly this week has snuck up on me. This Friday I will be leaving Kansas to spend a year in Georgia. Part of me is excited to be back on the east coast, to be so close to both the beaches and the mountains. I'm also excited to be able to become proficient in my new military skill. I'm NOT excited to be leaving my family, or closing my business. I'm am grateful to be staying stateside this mission, when so many are not home at the moment.
While I am gone this blog will be used to showcase some of my "adventures" while I am there, as well as improvement projects along the way.....and a little about my life in GA :)
Keep watching here and my Facebook-cuz we will be having one ROCKIN grand re-opening when I get back!!
Since I am not able to add my family photos directly to my blog (silly website) I have added a link below showing my main priority my last week home. Enjoy everybody! I'll see you the flip side! :P

Spring is a wonderful time of year for SO many reasons! We get to start putting away our sweaters, and pull out those flip-flops. Grass turns green again (after a nice controlled burn :) ), trees and flowers start to bloom, and the sun is still shining when we get home from work! Spring is also important for our lil ones....and our not so little ones, because SCHOOLS OUT!! For our seniors, it is the end of a major chapter in their lives, as well as an exciting new one!
I love shooting seniors , their so fun and full of energy-not to mention beautiful! I did not market the way I had planned for seniors, because I will be temporarily relocating in the height of senior season. I was lucky enough, however, to round up the first half of my senior ambassador program from abilene for 2013 AND some "last minute luckies" from class of 2012. This blog is being dedicated to them and their accomplishments!
Congrats to my 2012 seniors, Austin and Sierra! Good luck in all your future endeavors!
